About PSD to JPEG conversion
PSD (Photoshop Document) files contain layers, masks, and editing data that only Photoshop can open. Converting to JPEG flattens all visible layers into a single image that anyone can view. This is perfect for sharing designs, proofs, or final images without requiring the recipient to have Photoshop.
When to convert PSD to JPEG
You need to share a Photoshop design with someone who doesn't have Photoshop, or you want to upload the image to a website or social media.
This tool flattens all visible layers and converts the result to JPEG at your chosen quality. Quality 90 is recommended for design work.
Note that JPEG doesn't support transparency — transparent areas become white. For transparency, convert to PNG instead.
Frequently asked questions
- Are all layers included?
- All visible layers are flattened into the final image. Hidden layers are not included. The result looks like what you see in Photoshop with all layers visible.
- What about layer effects?
- Layer effects (shadows, glows, etc.) are preserved in the flattened output, appearing as they would when viewed in Photoshop.
- Can I edit the JPEG later?
- The JPEG is a flattened image — layers are merged and cannot be separated. Keep your original PSD for future editing.
- What about transparency?
- JPEG doesn't support transparency. Transparent areas become white. Use PNG conversion if you need transparency.
- Is my file stored on your servers?
- Files are kept only long enough for you to download the result. Everything is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
