myfiletool.com is operated by IX42 SAS. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Files you upload
When you use one of our conversion tools, your file is uploaded to our servers in Frankfurt, Germany (hosted by Akamai). We process the conversion and make the result available for download.
Your files are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours. We do not read, analyze, index, or share your files with anyone. We do not use your files to train machine learning models. We do not keep copies after deletion.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. We see aggregate page views and nothing more. No Google Analytics. No Facebook pixel. No session recording. No fingerprinting.
Payments
Batch conversions are processed through Stripe. When you pay, Stripe handles your payment information directly. We never see or store your credit card number.
The only payment-related data we receive from Stripe is a confirmation that the transaction succeeded.
Server logs
Our servers automatically log IP addresses and request data for security and abuse prevention purposes. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not shared with third parties.
What we don't collect
We don't require an account. There is no registration, no email, no password.
We don't use advertising trackers of any kind.
We don't use cookies (Umami is cookieless, Stripe may set its own functional cookies during payment).
We don't build user profiles.
We don't sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
Where your data is stored
Files are processed and temporarily stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany, within the European Union. All data handling is subject to EU data protection regulations (GDPR).
Your rights under GDPR
As an EU-based service, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. You have the right to: access any personal data we hold about you; request deletion of your data; object to data processing; file a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France: CNIL, www.cnil.fr).
In practice, we hold very little data about you. If you used the site without paying, we likely have no way to identify you at all.
